Docker's Guild will host a
Special Event on February 23, 2013 for the world-wide
premiere of the short film "Darwin's Tears", which will
include a press conference, the debut live performance of
the band, preceded by opening act Last40Days, a few contests
with prizes, a meet & greet with the band, lots of
merchandising, a few special guests and a live shooting of
the entire evening.
All takes place on 23 February 2013 at Audiodrome Live Club,
Strada Mongina, 9, 10024 Moncalieri. Italy:
Full details on the event can be found at:

The Docker's Guild live line up is confirmed as:
Douglas R. Docker on keyboards and vocals, lead vocalists
Andrea Rampa (Rustfield) and Anna Petracca (Last40Days),
guitarist Davide Ronfetto (Rustfield), bassist Anna
Portalupi (Hardline) and Salvatore Amato (Rustfield) on
drums.
For band mastermind Douglas R. Docker taking the band out of
its until now studio environment and into the live arena is
the next step on what is proving to be an exciting journey,
Docker comments; "The Docker's Guild project was conceived
from the beginning as a multimedia story to be told in
various formats, with the albums and music at its center and
with videos, games, comics, novels and the like expanding
the world I have created.
The release of short film "Darwin's Tears", shot and
produced by Silos Production (the same team that produced
011 by Therion), is the first major step in that direction.
They have done a spectacular job, with the film being shot
in black and white, in the style of 1920's German
Expressionism and movie serials of that time. It will be
about 11 minutes long and I have to say I haven't seen
anything quite like it anywhere else.
There was never any intention of playing live or touring at
first, but the release of the short film required a special
event to mark the occasion, and I thought that combining
this with a long overdue album release party would be a good
idea. At that point, there was no choice but to go live,
something I am very excited about. Writing, developing and
recording the first album was a very exciting albeit
solitary journey, and it is a very welcome change to be able
to interact with other musicians who also happen to be very
good friends of mine. The new line-up is very skilled and
motivated and I can't wait for the show. If that goes well,
I am already toying with the idea of bringing the project on
the road for an Italian tour first, perhaps followed by
something more international a little later. Keep your
fingers crossed!"
Not only does 23 February 2013 mark the bands first live
appearance but also the premiere of the highly anticipated
short film for the track "Darwin's Tears" taken from the
bands debut album "The Mystic Technocracy - Season 1" (out
now).
The worldwide premiere of the "Darwin's Tears" video
will commence at 15:00hrs with a press conference and
projection of the "Darwin's Tears" short film following
later in the evening at 22:00 hrs with the band's live
performance with special guests Last40Days along with a long
awaited album release party.
The "Darwin's Tears" short film will then be made available
worldwide via YouTube on the following day, 24 February
2013.
Italian progressive metallers Ashent have made available two
live videos from their recent support slot to Jorn in Italy
live performance at New Age Club (Italy) on 13/12/2012.
Ashent released the critically acclaimed "Inheritance"album
last year which won praise for the bands original take on
the prog metal genre.
Check out this great fan made video for Venturia of the
track 'Devil In Disguise' taken from the band's current
release 'Dawn Of A New Era'.
Mastercastle
guitarist Pier Gonella has just released this close up solo
performance of the instrumental track 'Space Trip' taken
from the Italian band's second album 2011's 'Last Desire'.
The band are currently putting the finishing touches to
their fourth release which will see release in the first
half of 2013.
